Remembrance Lantern
Shining a Light on Remembrance is a lantern-making project where people use photos, collage, and drawing to create memorial lanterns. Stories are spontaneously shared as part of the art making process. Shintani has facilitated this project at the Contemporary Art Museum of New Mexico, Ruth’s Table in San Francisco, Peninsula Museum of Art in Burlingame, Kitsune Community Art Studio in Half Moon Bay, Fresno State University, and soon at The Presidio Officer’s Club in San Francisco.
