Illuminating Education
Illuminating Education - During the opening session of the Big Ideas Fest 2014, participants engaged with each other to share their wishes for the future of education innovation for a small planet. The session culminated in Shintani’s facilitation of creating individual luminaries that were hung on an iron large pagoda and displayed throughout the Fest.
Educators were invited to illuminate their offering to education innovation for a small planet by creating luminaries. Luminaries are used all over the world to shine light on intentions, offerings, and wishes. Participants were invited to use the materials provided to represent their individual offering for education for a small planet, based off of the work they do. They were hung as part of a collaborative art installation, displayed throughout the Big Ideas Fest at the Ritz, Half Moon Bay
