invisibility is a protection strategy

I was shocked to find out about the eugenics project while I was on a fellowship at the Vermont Studio Center. The movement in Vermont and across the United States believed that it was possible to improve humans by allowing only some people to reproduce and sterilizing others. The Japanese American incarceration experience and the eugenics project have similarities - people were judged and deemed unfit and a problem since they were different than those in power. The government approved indigenous genocide is history that needs to be known.
